Allegations of abuse and neglect against former employees of Arizona Boys Ranch, The Arizona Republic, August 31, 1998
THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY HAS PROPOSED TO SUBSTANTIATE THE FOLLOWING ALLEGATIONS OF CHILD ABUSE AND OR NEGLECT AGAINST SEVENTEEN (17) FORMER EMPLOYEES OF ARIZONA BOYS RANCH RESULTING FROM THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE DEATH OF NICHOLAUS CONTRERAZ.

CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEATH OF A CHILD DUE TO ABUSE AND OR NEGLECT.
* TWELVE (12) FORMER EMPLOYEES

INFLICTING BODILY INJURIES UPON A CHILD.
* NINE (9) FORMER EMPLOYEES FAILURE TO TREAT A LIFE THREATENING MEDICAL CONDITION.
* SEVEN (7) FORMER EMPLOYEES

FAILURE OF A CUSTODIAN TO PROTECT A CHILD FROM ABUSE AND OR NEGLECT.
* FOUR (4) FORMER EMPLOYEES

The above represents: Three (3) allegations against four (4) individuals. Two (2) allegations against seven (7) individuals.

One (1) allegation against six (6) individuals.

Total of seventeen (17) alleged perpetrators. Five (5) were terminated for violating company policies. One (1) resigned Eleven (11) were laid off.
