INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children   The Global Initiative was launched in 2001 to encourage more action and progress towards ending all corporal punishment in all continents; to encourage governments and other organizations to “own” the issue and work actively on it; and to support national campaigns with relevant information and assistance. The context for all its work is implementation of the Convention of the Rights of the Child.

Save the Children Sweden   This organization has made a significant contribution to the UN Study on Violence Against Children, including advocating the prohibition of corporal punishment in all settings. Corporal punishment is banned in Sweden schools and homes.
