A South Florida teacher is out on bond, accused of abusing one of her students.
Alexandra Kralik is a first-grade teacher at Dania Elementary. She was arrested Wednesday on charges of child abuse. Police say the incident started when Kralik became angry with a six-year-old student for arguing with a classmate.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says the 38-year-old teacher pushed the student’s head into the corner of a desk. The boy needed to get stitches for the cut.
Kralik has worked at the school since 1988 and school officials say she had never faced disciplinary action before. She was released on Thursday on $2,500 bond.
