LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - Lincoln police arrested a Lincoln man after a relative called about extensive bruising on his 5-week-old son’s bottom.

Officer Katherine Finnell said they arrested Andrew Palmer of 5033 Huntington Blvd., Apt. 1, Thursday shortly before 10 p.m.

The newborn’s mother had been out and had come home, discovered the bruises and called a relative. The relative called police, who came and arrested the 25-year-old on suspicion of felony child abuse, Finnell said.
